Deck Refinishing and the Weather
Colorado Decks
When starting a restoration project, weather can be a concern. Our customers want to make sure the job is done correctly in optimal conditions. We may live in a dry climate, but we still need to take precautions and make sure our hard work lives up to our high standards. The good news is, along with Denver’s beautiful climate, our local Boodge deck stains help manage the weather.
Boodge is a low VOC, environmentally friendly stain that repels rain, snow, and ice. While most deck stains seal the wood from the outside, Boodge penetrates the wood’s cells with capillary action just like water. Boodge “moisturizes” your deck with oil, and blocks moisture from inside the wood rather than outside. The oil in the pores of the wood block moisture from harming the finish.
Boodge also has a large temperature range to apply the stain. Stains from Home Depot or your local Sherwin Williams have strict application guidelines, requiring temperatures above 50F for 48 hours after staining. We can safely refinish with Boodge as long as it’s dry and above freezing.
Our superior weather tolerance allows us to finish jobs faster and more efficiently, and it allows us to work deeper into the season and complete jobs when other companies can’t. Most importantly, we know the job is completed correctly with the best stain and workmanship.
